What's in your purse?

So my friend Kavita did this on her blog and I thought it was fun. Especially as men I think are mystified by what we lug around with us, and why we lug it around with us!

This is my purse from the Coach website....

This is my purse stuffed full of crap.... (hmmm not so pretty)

This is the contents of my purse....

My purse I got this summer from my sister for my birthday (best sister in the world who realizes the importance of having a designer purse.. unlike my husband).. I am not going to say how expensive it is but just that I have the best sister in the world and I am very spolit :) And as for the contents:

1. Day Planner (my bible)
2. Wallet (Ugly green old Guess wallet - must buy a new one)
3. Matching coach change purse with a lottery ticket inside it :)
4. Cell Phone
5. Cheque Books (yes there are more that one in there)
6. Pile of bills that need to be paid held together with a clip :)
7. A day planner of bills (when they are due, how much needs to be paid - what can I say I try to be organized??)
8. Passbooks (yes... I carry them all with me)
9. Gum (the little thing of sticks just wouldn't cut it)
10. Mints (in a really cool little case)
11. Pills - Tylenol and Iron Supplement (I carry them with me so I remember to take my iron everyday)
12. Mitts
13. Camera & case
14. Mini Ice scraper (that I have never used)
15. Various feminine products
16. MAC Compact
17. 2 MAC lip glosses
18. 2 notepads (in case I lose one)
19. 2 pens (what?? one matches my day planner!!)
20. Random keys

And missing the day of the photo shoot... my ipod, telephone book and keys to my work place!

WOW! I have also recently take some stuff out of it... Like pictures of the new appliances we just got (yes I am a loser for carrying them around)... What would I do with a smaller purse? At least I no longer have to carry diapers around with me!

oHHHHH I suck.....

Yeah it's been a while (my Mum reminded me)...

I'm in a winter blah......

Registration Day...

Caleb registered for school today!!! In August he'll be off to JK Monday, Wednesday and every other Friday. We filled out forms then he got to see his classroom he'll be in... he was pretty excited. Painting stations, Mr Potato Head centre, computers, puzzles, games.... He didn't want to leave!!!

On another not so happy note Mason had his needles today... When he screams it is the highest pitch noise I have ever heard! Wow.. and did he scream!!! Poor baby boy. It didn't help that it was in the middle of nap time so he was cranky to begin with... :( No more now until pre school (4-6) hopefully by then he won't scream with such a high pitch! Caleb came to and was telling everyone in the office that Mason was here to have his 'noodles'. May have been a little more enjoyable for poor Mason if he went to the doctors office for some noodles :)

Mason Talking....

This was yesterday, Mason was at the kitchen window pointing out Daddy... I am also daddy, as is the babysitters husband... But I still thought it was pretty cute!

Caleb woke up this morning and asked if he could go to church! His grandparents (McLaughlin) will be so proud! Of course he doesn't actually sit through the whole service but goes down to Sunday school, but I was still happy that he wants to go! Unfortunately we didn't make it as we were a little slow getting dressed and getting up this morning. I know a poor excuse soon as we live across the street....

For Adrienne & my Mum...

How to post comments on a blog.. the beginners guide..

Go to this link:

http://darraghdoyle.blogspot.com/2008/05/how-to-comment-on-blog-beginners-guide.html

I think on mine you have to click where it says '0 comments' and then you can write it in...??

Hope that helps!!

New do...

So after a few years of torture and abuse to my hair I finally decided to get it cut... yes I know this is not the normal me... hello... biggest spa fan.. lets just say after practically back to back babies I have been in a pregnancy rut..?? Also finding a new hairdresser is the scariest thing in the world. Despite the picture above (which are not terribly flattering) I have INSANELY curly hair and it is easy to turn me into a prized poodle..... But I seem to have found a good hair dresser in our tiny little town. Hurray!

Manitoulin on a snowy day...

Coming into Gore Bay

Ice Lake Causeway

I have decided that I will share a little of Manitoulin with you. We drove to Little Current (across the Island) for Caleb's speech therapy appointment today and it was snowing. Now I realize if you live in England this may be a huge shock that we drive in these conditions but for those of us that live in the great white north (does Manitoulin qualify?) this really is nothing, if it were 'bad' I wouldn't drive in it. I do find it however really hard to concentrate especially at night when the roads are like this as it all just kind of blurs together.. roads, fields... it just all looks white!! I find it particularly mesmerizing when you are driving into the snow... then all I seem to focus on are the white chunks coming at my windshield!

Caleb Skating 18/01/09

So I thought I would post a few videos of Caleb skating last week for all the people that won't use facebook! (my Mum, Adrienne just to name a few :) He did really good considering this was his first time this winter skating. We went this week too and he managed to stand up by himself once he wiped out which was kinda cool... All his friends from daycare were also there and they are a few years older than him so it was really cute to watch them try and pick him up when he fell over!

Ok so it's taking too long I'll post the reast tomorrow or something I am going to bed... and my husband is in the basement like a man man with his big table saw going cutting up god knows what as we ran out of fire wood and didn't get a chance to get some more this weekend. When I get up in the morning I may come downstairs to find we are missing a few doors...... (FYI we also have electric heat and an oil furnace for heat in the house so if the wood stove goes out, we won't freeze...)

My new favorite meal...

That's right folks Slim Fast... yummmmmmmyyyy.... I have had a really tough time with my weight ever since my boys came along because as have found out pregnancy kicks your metabolism in the ass so to speak. So I get upset throw away my clothes and then I eat.. it's a vicious circle. No more!! Pre-pregnancy I weighed 128lbs. That was my heaviest weight ever, now at 165lbs I hope to get down to 135lbs...... eventually. That is my goal lose 30lbs (though in my current frame of mind if I lost 5lbs I would be happy) If I lost that weight I would be happier pysically and emotionally, I mean I could jump and spring through the air and land gracefully instead of with a thud. Ok ok that's my floating in a green field with the clouds in the background kinda day dream, but you know what I mean.

So the first week was tough... I had headaches, felt sick, dizzy etc.. My problem is not what I eat, but how much I eat which has never been a problems until now. I always cook from scratch, eat veggies, fruit and rarely buy processed food but it's time to slash the portion size. After a week I can now do just the slim fast and dinner but it took me until now to slash my stomach size! Luckily the shakes taste good otherwise I couldn't do it. I did however today go to the grocery store and stared at the fried chicken. So the deli counter guy now thinks I am crazy. Maybe I should wear a sign indicating that I am starving, then he'll understand. So what's for breakfast tomorrow.... vanilla or chocolate fudge??

Look what I just discovered while printing off some colouring sheets for the boys...

Tonight's 20/20

I was a little excited to see he story on home births on tonight's 20/20. But after watching it it left me irate and really mad. According to this story couples choosing home births are selfish and only thinking of themselves.. not the child the are bringing into the world. As a mother who has had a hospital birth and a home birth I could write pages comparing both experiences and why our choice was so clear that our second birth should be at home and how our natural birthing experience benefited our child.

Our first birthing experience was by no means a horror story as some people describe their birthing experiences to be when they are in hospital sometime not by their own choice or wish to be there, and in the case of an emergency or things not working out as planned at home the back up plan is to always head to the hospital. But when did birth become a surgical procedure? When you look at the statistics it seems a bit alarming to me that according to 20/20, in the US one in three births are a surgical procedure... that there has been a 50% increase in c-sections and medical interventions. When I toured Windsor Regional they volunteered the information that 80% or more of their births end up being c-sections. I don't really think that that is something to be proud of. The fact of the matter remains that with the right guidance, knowing and listening to your body and in a case where there are no complications birth is one of the most empowering experiences a woman can have. I am so thankful for our amazing midwife and doula that were there every step of the way, making this a truly personal experience - just us and our baby - how it should be. This is what my body was made to do.. so why should I let someone take that right away from me, stick a needle in my spine and slice me open?

Now I can understand an OBGYN's dilemma... They don't want to stick around and endure the labour for however long it may be, I mean it could interrupt the planned golf game or charity ball and think of all the money that can be made by sticking this woman under the knife, a quick procedure that can be billed for big bucks and doesn't tie up all their day and night.... Am I a little cynical? How troubled is our medical system in the 'western world'? Now the American Medical Association is agreeing to support legislation that would make it impossible for couples to have a home birth. Wanna baby? You have no rights, no say in what will happen with your body take these drugs and under the knife you go!

20/20's website and the article stemming from the program I just watched led me to the website for Ricki Lake's documentary 'The Business of Being Born' I am really intrigued to see this documentary and any positive experiences for home birth. I agree that home births and drug free births are not for everyone, it is not what we all look for when it comes to our birthing experience but never stop fighting for your rights to be able to bring your child into the world in the most natural way, instead research look at the benefits and don't let our messed up medical system scare you into being a c-section statistic.

1st Blog post of 2009!

And what am I writing about?? Christmas! I am so behind I should be writing about New Years! Oh well better late than never!

Our Christmas.. low key. Partly because I am exhausted and have a case of the winter blues happening. Christmas is always such a stressful and emotionally exhausting time, I really felt it this year. As far as enjoying it with the kids and my hubby and some of our wonderful friends that came to visit it was wonderful, but if I didn't have to leave my house or change out of my PJ's it would have been better. It also would have been better if I was around my family... I was choking back the tears on the phone when I called to say Merry Christmas and my ENTIRE family was together except for me. It kills me that my kids haven't got to spend Christmas with my family and it pains even more that most of my family have never even met Mason. Well that's what you get for living a million miles away I guess. It usually doesn't bother me as much but this year I seem to be a little more emotional than others.

I never did get the popcorn on my tree, I think we ate most of it watching the batman movie but the boys didn't care and had so much fun. Caleb was especially fun now that he can understand a little more of what is going on. He is totally cute and asked for days before if Santa was coming tonight, when I said no not yet he then demanded that I take him to see him (he has met Santa 3 times over the last few weeks)... well you know Santa is busy at this time of the year....

My poor Mason was sick on Christmas day :( Christmas Eve I went to church with Sean's parents then came home and we stayed up until 7am with Mason who had a fever. He was such a trooper on Christmas day trying really hard to be excited with the 'ahh put me back to bed' look on his face... we did try.. no luck, no sleep. He finally crashed at 8.30pm and was in much better spirits on boxing day!! So we ate turkey, unwrapped presents, gained 20lbs, had not enough sleep, too much sleep.. the goes another Christmas. It is now back in the box until next year!!!!

Oh and my hubby thinks I am the best wife in the world...... His face when he opened his new 120gb ipod. Engraving on the back "Lets rock on Dad, Love Caleb & Mason xx"

Is everyone ready for Xmas??? oh and Happy Anniversary!

2 Years today - Happy Wedding Anniversary honey!!! It does however feel like 10 years! I was convinced actually that it was 3 years this year and was quite shocked when I did the math and realized it was 2! I am so happy we got married at this time of the year. Christmas always has that warm cozy feeling anyways and to have family and everyone around for an extra celebration is great! My husband didn't want me to give him his card and gift last night or this morning... we have to wait until 6pm tonight as that's when we got married!! My good friend Kavita got engaged yesterday - so so happy for you :) and another friend from Windsor also so there is definetly something in the air! Congrats!

Well I have made my list and between my lunch break today, after work tonight and tomorrow I hope I can get everything done.. I won't be able to make it to the chocolate factory and I promised the Laings some chocolate dipped licorice (sorry, they won't be open until the spring now) :( I did pretty good though and on the whole was much more organized this year than previously! Caleb is so excited about Xmas this year... and I am so excited for him! He asks me every morning if Santa came.. then if we can go and see him. We read 'The Grinch Who Stole Xmas' last night and he was very solemn throughout! I have a small Grinch ornament on the fireplace mantle and I showed Caleb and told him that the grinch was watching and if he was bad then after Santa had been the Grinch would steal all his presents... He was really good last night and went to bed when he was told! And took his Grinch book to daycare to tell Jeanie all about it!

December 1st... 24 days until Xmas!

It seems like this winter we have had more snow already than the whole of last winter.... Crazy huh? And we're to get more I guess over the next couple of days. Unfortunately I brushed off the top of our oil tank today and realized that since we moved in we have already gone through 1/2 a tank of oil ... that means since thanksgiving... October.... that also means that there is no insulation in our walls... we are screwed (as my husband put it), it is going to cost us a small fortune to stay warm this winter and in up coming winters until we get to the point (and can afford) to rip out every wall and insulate and drywall

Let's see what else I discovered today... oh yes it's 24 days until Xmas.. and I have nearly no Xmas shopping done.. and the next day I have to get to the city to shop is December 20th Yeah so all you people that live in different parts of Ontario and definitely England.. don't expect your presents on time.. I do however have my cards done :) And soon as I am always trying to do a good deed I agreed on Saturday to wait on tables at the church tea, make 2 loafs o
f sandwiches and 2 dozen batches of cookies (which I will do in all my spare time this week:) You can just see Sean rolling his eyes.. right? Why do I agree to these things? And... now he has to come to the church tea too with the kids! It's like torture for him! Sorry but I can't help but laugh. Caleb and I did decorate the tree, but you can't see pictures yet it's not done.. we try and do a theme every year... this year it's old fashioned Xmas so we are stinging popcorn, making paper ornaments etc... I'll post a pic when we get to it! I did decorate the banister and Caleb is getting super hyped. He got to have his first chocolate from his advent calendar today. Mason on the other had has no idea what is going on and why Caleb is so wound up... but he does like trying to pull the tree down.. Wait until the popcorn goes up!

More snow...

SO now we really got dumped on.. anyone who doesn't have to deal with this I am jealous!!! I was going to ballet last night and got my truck stuck in the driveway... yes that's right.. MY driveway. And seeing as I wasn't so smart with getting together winter wear I am walking everywhere wet and freezing... I threw away my snow boots in the summer as I decided it was time for new ones so walking in a ton of snow in my Ugg boots just ain't fun! Must get some shopping done.. I did the kids they have all new winter wear... but I guess it always works that way them first and Mum freezing her ass off!! Going to make my way through all the snow banks to work!

First snow fall of 2008!!

Well here we go time to pull out the winter coats & boots... but I haven't been to Sudbury yet so I felt like a mean Mum sending my kids off to daycare in their running shoes!! Caleb was pretty excited and was trying to get outside in his pj's and my crocs while I was outside trying to put away the patio furniture (yeah we didn't do that yet!) But I don't think it will stick around it's mean to be +3 today so there is a good chance it will all melt by this evening! And so the winter begins :(

Laughing at old photos

Ok so I was adding photos to my facebook and I caught sight of this photo from last year.. may I just say that Mason was way happier to be sat on Santa's lap!! and look how bald he is!!

Caleb's first sleepover & Mason's first meeting with Santa!

This weekend Caleb had his first sleepover... it was so cute! My husband didn't think that 3 yr olds should have sleepovers but I beg to differ. Although a little crazy in the McLaughlin household.. (good job we have this big old house now) the boys had so much fun. We only had two incidences of them beating on each other, the only other crocodile tears was Caleb bouncing off his bed and landing on his head :( The boys here are painting, they also painted my table which is now stained green and blue.. who knew that crayola WASHABLE paint would turn my table a different colour???

We also went to the Christmas market and met with Santa. Caleb was pretty excited and was going to ask Santa for Batman Underwear... Mason on the other hand, as you can probably tell by the picture wanted NOTHING to do with him!! We tried a few times only to get the same response. Usually this is the photo I use to mail to the fam. and put in Xmas cards but not this time! Oh well later in the the lead up to the festive season we have Santa's breakfast so we'll try again then!

Tonight I am going to update my blog...

So here I am with a glass of wine... finally trying to find the time to do this. I love reading other people's blogs, my friend Kavita and her sis are so good at this, and I am jealous every morning when I sit down with my coffee and check my mail, banking, blogs etc.. So much always seems to be going on so I guess I just have to write about it!!

We too had a Halloween party.. it was kind of a house warming, Sean's B'day, Halloween party. Sean insisted (and I protested) that everyone had to dress up. So I invite everyone, plan the food, drink etc.. then Saturday morning I head off to teach ballet and Sean takes over. Boys are useless!! By 4pm he is running around town frantically buying things and panicking because our party starts in 4 hours and he still doesn't have a costume. We live in Gore Bay in the middle of nowhere so buying a costume is not an option! He ended up going as a mummy, and after much frustrating yelling at each other in the bathroom we finally got him wrapped up and he looked pretty good! I went as a Glampire. It's so easy for girls to do the slutty thing.. fishnets, low cut top, wear black, heavy eye makeup - BOOM a costume. Yes not all that innovative I know but I am not a big Halloween fan. I am sure I spend a lot of time in my life doing stupid things I don't need to make myself look even more ridiculous.. That's just my opinion.

I did get to carve pumpkins with my boys which was fun. We made a huge mess on the floor and I didn't care cause they just loved it! We saved the seeds as I just got Caleb a book we've been reading about a little boy that plants pumpkin seeds and grows a prize pumpkin so we dried some out to plant in the spring and hopefully we'll have our own pumpkin patch! Caleb is totally psyched about it! Unfortunately kids suck we put them on our front door step and the next morning one was missing and the other was kicked in. Caleb was pretty upset that his pumpkin was missing.. I felt awful!!! Oh well next year we'll know better!

Article in Chateliane Magazine..

I found this article in an old Chatelaine magazine when I was sat at the doctors office or somewhere and I thought I would post it for you to read. I actually e-mailed Chatelaine and they dug it out of their archives for me. It is called 'My son, the dancer' by Katrina Onstad. It's an interesting read, especially for me teaching ballet and having two boys. Their Dad is pretty adamant that next year Caleb won't be joining the ballet school, whereas of course I can't wait to sign him up! I tried to get Sean to read it but he looked at the picture of the little boy sat between the two girls in pink tutus laughed and handed it back to me. So here you go, see what you think... enjoy!

My son, the dancer
by Katrina Onstad

In the pink ghetto of ballet class, the sight of boys still makes people squeamish. Let me say this: I was not trying to make a point when I signed my son up for ballet. Registering your kids for classes in Toronto is a particular kind of hell: It’s airplane-delay hell, it’s on-hold hell; it’s the hell of total helplessness in the face of one’s very best efforts. There are too many people in the city and not enough classes, so when I finally got through the online registration process, gymnastics, “creative movement” and swimming were filled. This is how my son ended up in preschool ballet. And I didn’t give it too much thought: A three-year-old boy doing ballet can’t be such a big deal, right? We’re post–The Bad News Bears; we’re even post–Billy Elliot. On the morning of our first class, I upsold: “You’re going to take ballet. You’re so lucky. You get to dance around for half an hour while Mommy reads the paper, something she hasn’t done in four years. I love ballet!” J. just looked at me, and said, “Mom, ballet’s for girls.” I felt nauseous. How had this happened so soon? Where had I failed him? An image came to mind: A dreadlocked boy who often showed up at my son’s daycare in dresses. His mother, forever breastfeeding some sibling or other, casually telling me, “He wears what he wants. Why fight it?” That kid would never scoff at ballet; he wasn’t the socially constructed cog that mine clearly was. “Nonsense!” I shouted. “Let’s go to YouTube!” I sat J. in my lap and showed him men dancing when I requested she produce in the flesh these hypothetical groundbreakers.
Nonetheless, she proved an excellent teacher. Through the window, I watched J. as he tentatively
pointed his toes and raised his hands above his head. When it came to the free dance, he went mental in the way I’d hoped, frogbouncing and pinballing. At the end of the class, he announced, “Good,” and left very happy. The next week, his father took him, reporting back that it went “great!” He paused. “Except . . . .” He said that just as J. was approaching the studio, one mom looked in and exclaimed, “It’s a sea of pink! So cute!” And then turned to see my son in his army shorts and England soccer shirt. “Oh . . . ,” she said, surprised. When I went the next week and peered through the glass between newspaper sections, I saw everyone in pairs, except my son. J. stood, bouncing on his toes with his hand out, his open-to-the-world face tilted upward. No girl would hold his hand. The pink cloud next to him, maybe four years old, squealed and ran away; so did two others. The moment was frozen for me: my son, rejected because he’s male. It seems that, at least where ballet
is concerned, the gender divide is as wide as ever, for both kids and parents. Kelly Bale, who manages the recreation programs at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, says that the school has been actively recruiting boys for years, offering all-boy classes and financial incentives simply to get the male numbers up. In the recreational program, 36 weeks of instruction for a girl is $460; for a boy, it’s $88, which just covers the costs. Even so, only about 20 percent of the students are boys. The repercussions for the art are serious: Can you imagine a ballet without men? Bale admits she’s heard stories about boys being picked on in the schoolyard. Yet at registration, it’s not the boys who are hesitating; it’s often the dads. “They’ll say, ‘He can’t do it that day. He has soccer,’” she says, laughing. “We play up the athleticism and the coordination to the parents. We say that it will supplement sports.” But why is a boy doing ballet for ballet’s sake such a scandalous idea? Clearly, there’s a whiff of homophobia in this aversion; ballet is about grace, beauty – pink. It’s feminine, and feminine is still only okay for females, unless you’re, you know, gay. But girls are encouraged to borrow from the best of masculinity with little controversy anymore, integrating hockey and football, learning power and teamwork without having their sexual identities defined. The river doesn’t seem to flow both ways. While I watched my son dancing, I thought about my daughter and how hard I’ve worked to tell her that she’s strong and smart and not just pretty and pink. But that was easy for me, instinctive, somehow, to protect her from the cages that seem poised above her head at every step. How shameful, then, to admit that when faced with the prospect of my little boy doing ballet, my first instinct wasn’t to tell him that he could be part of something sublime, that he could use his body to convey ideas, not just power. Instead, I pointed out that Superman wears tights. I told him
ballet could make him strong, like a man, not beautiful, like a woman. By masking ballet’s intrinsic importance, wasn’t I saying that beauty isn’t available to him as a boy? What else am I so casually
denying him when I keep him away from girls’ worlds? Am I, too, failing to take his hand?

My new Suffolk Solo's....

One of the things I did this summer was go to Toronto for a seminar with Tini my ballet teacher and we stopped at The Shoe Room in Toronto, which is at The National Ballet for a pointe shoe fitting. This may not sound very exciting to anyone who is not a ballet dancer.. but it was pretty exciting. I purchased a pair of Suffolk Solos and have now retired my old Bloch's. The fitting was great, the girls there spent an hour with me while I tried on a million different pairs to get the right fit.. the end result is a great fitting pair of shoes that have WAY more support for my feet (and overweight body) than my old pair do. I had my first lesson last night but unfortunately I had cut my one big toe nail too short so it was frustrating that I couldn't do too much on them! But there is a lot to be said for having a proper fitting and I would highly recommend The Shoe Room.. it's well worth the trip!

Q & A - Walter the Spider

I am responding to Kavita's blog about Walter the spider. I started writing a comment then realized that it would be really long!!

So is Walter outside or inside?? If it is inside I would say 'just kill the damn thing' and I like Rich would run for the insect spray... but then again you have named it :) It's really funny as I don't want bugs in my house, mice anything that shouldn't be there but my husband is like you. He can't kill a house fly, spider, nothing. He gets me to come and do it or he catches it and sets it free... We were watching this 'verminator' show on the discovery channel or something last night and they were catching rats in this barn, I was totally grossed out that they had caught bucket fulls of rats, but Sean however was most upset that these 'poor rats' were dead. (????) I say bring on the insect spray!!

Our first house.

So Sean and I are getting super excited about the new house.... if you didn't know we get the keys September 25th (17 days yay!!!!). I just love it. It was built in 1914 and has been in the same family since it was built which I think is really cool. It has all the original trim and woodwork, hardwood floors and a beautiful yard. We have all kinds of plans, first is to rip out all the carpet and reveal the hardwood. Then I am thinking the bathroom and kitchen needs some love :) After that one room at a time. Like I said exciting but part of me is thinking 'arrrrggghhhh a house.. shit'. You know now I really am a responsible adult with the kids, the house, the car, the dogs, the yard, the bigger hydro bills, the renovating costs, the new roof it needs etc. etc. etc. you get the point :) Like I said super exciting but a little scary all at the same time!!!!

Mason

So if you didn't hear about it.... Mason gave us a scare a week ago.. He fell off a slide and was knocked unconscious for 25 minutes. We were air lifted to Sudbury and he had a head CT and X-rays, all was good but we had to stay overnight as he had a concussion. All is good now. My baby boy bounced right back! It was the biggest scare of my life and I did pretty well holding it together until it was all over andI had to go back to work.. boy was I a train wreck. We live in such a small town that when I walked down the street I got stopped about three times with everyone asking how Mason was. By then I was in tears every time I told someone so by the time I got to the bank boy was I a mess!!! but it is nice to live in a community that cares so Thank you for the phone calls, prayers and thoughts. As you can see my baby boy is back to normal and less than a week later he was playing on the beach! We are thinking of getting him a helmet check this out http://www.thudguard.com

Now I am totally paranoid and want to wrap him in bubble wrap to protect him!!

Kavita.. for you...

So I am pretty sad as the only person's blog I read is really yours.. so your Tag mania won't go far. As for 6 random facts about me.. hmmm this may take a while but I will get started:

1.) I absolutely trust my gut instinct about everything... If something is not 'right' I can tell by the way my stomach feels.. it's not always right and as you can imagine I am sure I have made a fool out of myself on many an occasion.

2.) I wish I had done more with my life when it comes to education. I am frustrated as I know I can do more and be more so I guess I am pretty disappointed with myself that I didn't make the most of opportunities when they presented themselves.

3.) Hah! I also have a thing about bottled water.. Can't drink it from the tap.. somehow it is cleaner and tastes better when you drink it from a little plastic bottle....

4.) Having children and being happily married to my wonderful hubby has made me realise my spiritual side that I never explored before. I have so much to be thankful for and I now thank god everyday that I have two beautiful healthy children and an amazing man share my life with everyday. And... I am still exploring and discovering everyday....

I owe you two more Kavita but 'Hopkins' is on right now and I really want to watch it!! Later dude...

So I never did write about our sailing trip...

Off we headed to the Benjamin Islands.... The first day was great! We sailed out the boys slept, got there had a BBQ, movie and bed. We got up in the morning and the kids played on the beach while Sean turned into a lobster, went for a paddle in the dingy.. it was great! I was thinking I can't wait to do this again with the boys!! Not so fast.. hahaha

We go to head home and it's really windy.. so I am motoring the boat back and it looks like we're not moving.. so we decide to stay another night at an island close by called Innes. Well the the boat runs out of gas, baby is projectile vomiting and I can't move for at least another hour as the boat is heeled over on it's side as we sail towards Innes.... ahhhhhhh!! Anyways we finally drop anchor, have another BBQ (luckily I bought enough food).. bathe the baby, wash out the clothes and to bed for another night!

Next day.. we get up start to sail in, get going for about an hour and the wind dies.. So now we are bobbing ducks in a lake for 2 1/2 hours.. When the wind finally picks up it is just as bad as the day before so we sail back in major wind, which would have been fine if I didn't have two boys that don't want to sit still!! Anyway we finally got in at 6.30pm (bear in mind it only took us 3 hours to get out there in the first place) and we were exhausted!!! But after all the disasters, the boys were really good and I am looking forward to the August trip we have planned. Caleb was awesome he was so excited to be on the boat and just loved it! Have to get the photos off Sean's camera still.. then I'll post them.

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Urrrhhhh.. 28... Unfortunately I feel much older! But I have a wonderful hubby who got me a great gift today.. Hye (Sean's cousin) came over from the gas station and told me he found this camera and he didn't know how to use it. So I took it out of the case to look to see if there were any pictures on it, thinking it would tell me who's it is when I found this:

Haha... he had let on all day that he had forgot my birthday and wasn't really doing much for it and hadn't got me a present.. he is so sneaky! Anyways it is really small and fits in my purse and takes really great photos.. it has all these different settings.. fireworks, cuisine, behind glass, documents, video and... it even shoots underwater!!!! Very excited to try it out here are a few more pics....

Mason Walking!!

His first steps caught on camera by a proud Auntie Ellie!!

Ballet

I am thinking I should also post these... We had our performance which was a huge success! Now we will have to do bigger and better next year!

Danielle, Brianna and myself in our costumes for our trio from 'La Bayadere'

Me... doing an interpretive dance to Mahalia Jackson's 'Somebody bigger than you and I'

So what's new.. it a long weekend and it's raining!

....and we were meant to be sailing.. our first trip with both boys!! Brave (or crazy?) parents or what!! Well luckily being a long weekend we still have a few more days to hope the weather gets better! For now though I am inside with my kids bouncing off the walls, feeling lost and a little bored thinking what now?? hmmmm. I also have an overwhelming urge to get my hair done and considering we live in Gore Bay, it means that there is no where to get my hair done.. which means I'll go and buy a box of hair dye and screw it up trying to do it myself...

See what rainy days on the island do to you???

Did you hear??

There was an earthquake in England.....??? Weird.

It continues to be winter here, everyone I know seems to be heading somewhere sunny on vaca. Me?? I am going to Sudbury to shop on Saturday... as long as the snow doesn't get in my way. No sun, but some retail therapy is a pretty good substitute. Yeah, I'll take it.

So we didn't make it out ice fishing... too bad although I have a feeling I would have hated it and complained a lot. (or whined alot like my sister - the big one!)

Got a sick baby.. again. It seems as fast as the bug goes through my house it comes right back in!

Family Day...

I wanted to take Caleb to the rink today to ice skate, you seriously could put on skates and walk out of my front door.... It rained yesterday, snow melted and now its frozen again. Nice. If you want to break a hip. Our weather patterns are seriously weird. But in the rain yesterday we went to look at another house that I happen to love. It's far to big, needs far too much work and we could never afford it, but it's beautiful. It's one of those old, 100+ years old homes that would have been so grand in its day. Still is. It has a formal entrance room, pocket doors to the living rooms and dining rooms (which has a piano and an organ in it). The wood work is beautiful and the windows and doors all have stained glass windows in them. It has an amazing view of the water and is full of antiques that come with the house. It would be cool to turn it into an old fashioned hotel and do murder mystery nights!

On another note I found out that someone in town is opening a resturant in the red roof. I am so angry and upset with myself. Someone else opened a coffee shop selling paninis etc.. I had that idea ages ago. Now someone is opening a resturant! This is my dream to have a resturant and I live in a town where there can only be so many resturants.... I guess it's just not my time but I am so frustrated! It's just not the time in my life to take huge financial risk to open a buisness but I am frustrated as I know that's where I want to be and the thought of going back to a boring desk job come July just make me want to put my head through the wall! AHHHHHHH!!

So tired....

Wow I think I am at the point of no return when it comes to being tired... talk about function on auto pilot! Mason has a cold so was up all of last night and I am bloody tired! It's always on the night when we have a late one too... we went to a poetry reading at the coffee shop for Valentines Day and Grandad babysat (Hugh).. then as it was Valentines Day, Sean had to sit through a romantic comedy/chick flick (No Reservations)! So it was a fun uneventful Valentines Day :-)

So it's family Day on Monday and I am thinking I would like to go Ice Fishing... I have never even heard of Ice Fishing before I even moved to the Island, but I wold like to try it once. I am not sure I quite 'get it'. Freezing my ass off, waiting to pull a fish out of a hole in the ice?? But I thought it would be a fun thing to do with Caleb for a few hours....

Anyways I am going to go and bury myself under a few pillows and blankets for a little while!

Monday, January 07, 2008

Well it's 2008...

Wow a year goes by fast! And here we are in this weird winter season again. I say weird because here it is snowing and -20 one minute then +10 the next??? So weird and not a bit like winter! Christmas was good to us, maybe too good to me! I was very spoilt by Sean! He went way over the set spending limit which meant my gift to him looked a little pathetic to say the least! Caleb had fun it was his first year really knowing what was going on and who Santa was! Next year I would really like to be away for Christmas, either in England or in Oman... So one of my goals for this year is to keep stashing cash for a vacation (as well as all the other million things I want!)

Mason is growing so fast! He really is huge he is wearing clothes that I remember being so big on Caleb at the same age and they barely fit him! He will be 6 months soon! Ahhh it makes me want another baby! (Just joking!) well I finally took my tree down today. Our apartment is a mess! Sean started putting down laminate flooring (looks like hardwood) on the weekends so we've been doing a section at a time. He just has the living room and our bedroom to do then he's done. It looks so amazing! I love it! (And great for practicing ballet on!) I'll have to take some photos when it is not so much of a gloomy day out!

Well it's back to the grind stone for me! As we have moved so much stuff around, I have again realized I have way too much crap and am early spring cleaning! And cleaning my oven... the dreaded task!! But I figured it needed it after all the Christmas baking - mainly my 22lb turkey! Next week all my ballet classes start again and Sean and I are taking social dancing together.. very excited for it.. but already feeling the pain after sitting on my ass for two weeks! I seriously need to go on a good diet but have no idea where to start.. There are so many out there and it all seems so much work!

No more chocolate in excessive amounts for me :(

Christmas is coming... fast!

It's snowing and it seems like it's never going to stop! I am so not ready for Christmas and am finding it hard to get the motivation to get ready for Christmas.. I guess I am a little bit like the Grinch this year! I have my tree up but I can't be bothered to buy presents.. or it more the case that for some people I really don't want to buy them presents. I wish I could just have Christmas with Sean and our boys and everyone else could just disappear and leave us alone! My sis is going to Cancun for Christmas and that sounds peacefully perfect! No family crap, no fuss just sun on a white sandy beach My idea of Christmas.

What else is new.. baby Mason weighed just over 17lbs a couple of weeks ago. He seems so much bigger than Caleb was at that age! He is such a good baby, good sleeper good eater, very social!! Caleb is still a little monkey! But a cute one!

I have a ballet recital on Thursday.. a little nervous about so many people watching me dance! This is the first time in a long time... As long as I don't fall off my pointe shoes I'll be good! We had a lesson with a lady from Sudbury this week it was good, I was a little freaked out when I showed up and the guy from the newspaper was there with his camera! Small town, not much news to report! So I guess we'll be in the newspaper at some point, either today or next week...

Have to work through my mountains of laundry.. I kind of slacked off this week!

Dance, Dance, Dance

So I started doing ballet again.. I was doing it before I was pregnant, and during but now it's down to business! I am dancing 3 times a week and was so excited when Tini (my instructor) told me to go and get fitted for pointe shoes! I get to go on pointe! I was trying to explain to Sean how huge this is but I think he has the hippo in the tutu in his head and finds my new found ambition to dance again very amusing.... And I did sign us both up for social dancing so whether he likes it or not Sean is going to learn to foxtrot and waltz!! I think it'll be fun and something fun to do together. I do have a back up in case he bails on me... Perry.

Baby weigh in..

I took Mason to the doctors office yesterday as he had to have his first needles! Two months old exactly yesterday and he weighs 13lbs 1oz! Caleb weighed 14lbs 5oz in January 06 and he was 4 months old so I think Mason is going to be a quite a bit bigger than Caleb was.... Not that you could tell now as Caleb is a lump and is bigger than the other kids his age at his playgroup. Nothin' like a chubby baby!!

A Momma of two!

Ok so now I am not working I'll have so much more time on my hands to update my blog..... hahahaha!! I am dreaming! We are now a family of 4, July12th Mason Jon Wright McLaughlin arrived after 26 hours of labour. And yes that is our last one, I don't think I can do that again! (I say that now :)....

Caleb is highly delighted with his new brother! he can't stop kissing him and tries to be a great little helper getting diapers, running to the rescue if he starts crying. Mason is two months old now (time flies) and it is almost time for Caleb's 2nd birthday!!. So I have been busy this week making plans for his birthday and Sean's 40th. I saw the perfect present for him so now I just need to find an excuse why I have to drive for an hour to the other side of the Island so that I can go and get it! It's too bad his birthday is so late in the fall as all the restaurants are closed except for one that is an hour away and that is just too damn far to drive... so I will have to be crafty and plan something else! ;)

So needless to say we haven't been on the boat all summer, and it is almost time to take it out already, but we are hoping to squeeze in one last sailing trip, maybe next week, the weather channel says it is meant to get warmer! Although Sean did get out over night with my Dad, he came a visited for 10 days with his wife and my little sister.

I also had Hilary and Jen come and visit and at the end of the month El, then hopefully my bigger sister (but still little!) and her boyfriend will come in October... then I think that is it for a while. Who wants to come to Manitoulin in the winter? Errr.... nobody in their right mind.

I really am hoping to maybe do some courses while I am off but I am torn... Do I finish my Real Estate License? Or do I try and do a course in something that I could do full time? I was thinking book keeping or accounting but it seems so dry. I worked in accounts rec. and I was bored.. so do I want to do peoples taxes etc...?? I am having a hard time deciding and it is extra hard as whatever I do has to be distance ed. as I live in the middle of nowhere and am not driving 3 hours to go to school... have to get to it soon so I can start somewhere next semester...

So what's the plan for now? Get fit and skinnier, I am doing ballet 3 times a week which might just kill me! I start tonight so I might not be able to walk tomorrow! Go shopping!! Hopefully in the spring we'll jet off to Oman/Dubai/England for a thaw out before Sean gets super busy at work again... he is already booking jobs now for next spring! Thats it for now!

Wow it's been a long time...

Just a quick note we are still alive... not having a computer at home sucks!!

Well now it's summer, boat is in the water (YAY!) and we are having a baby in 3 weeks and it is hot!!!! Nothing really new Sean is busy at work, we started our own business this year.... I am almost done work - 2 more weeks!!! Caleb is just busy running around he loves being outside and swimming in the lake, can't wait to get him out on the boat!!

And that is it... I will post more and some pictures but I am meant to be taking the garbage out and I just snuck off to the office!! Back to work!

Nothing new..

Not much new happening here, it's kind of a low after the vacation.... it's snowing, cold and I am back at work... Yay! The new job is going ok, it's nice to just work mornings then hang out with Caleb in the afternoons... I was excited that we could curl up and take naps together in the afternoon, but he has decided he no longer needs them so he is super cranky instead! But won't sleep!!!! I guess we have to work on an adjusted routine.... He missed daycare though, right now he crys because I pick him up at noon and he wants to stay for the whole day with all the other kids!!.. it's nice to feel loved!

Sean's working hard tiling a floor, my new inlaws are back from Florida today. They are leaving the sun and coming to a white out! Gotta love Canada!!

Oh and wow... it's February!

So much news to catch up on!!

Wow I just looked and saw my last post was November 27th... So much has happened since then! Where do I start??
Well first off the wedding, December 23rd. In case you didn't realise 2 days before Christmas is a crazy time to get married! Luckily my sister flew in the week before so we had an extra pair of hands for the event! We decided on an evening ceremony in our family church followed by a reception at the community hall in town. We spent the day decorating the hall our colours were chocolate brown and cream and it looked amazing. It was the most amazing night, everything was perfect and I think everyone had alot of fun. I don't have any photos really to post as we are still organizing everything but I have a few that my friend Earlene e-mailed to me from her camera. The Laing family made it all the way up from Windsor the night before, Dewar walked me down the aisle and Hilary was one of my bridesmaids. As I only had my sister here the Laings made up the rest of my family! The photos here are myself and Dewar arriving at the church and about to go in and us walking down the aisle.. and my sister and I at the reception sat at the head table.

The day after the wedding was Christmas eve so as the drinking and celebrations continued in my house with Sean my sister and the wedding party, I rushed out to get ready for Christmas dinner etc... We had a pretty quiet Christmas dinner with just my sis, Sean, Caleb and myself which was quite nice after life being so hectic! Boxing day was at Sean's parents house then rushing to pack as we left for our trip the next day after stopping in Sudbury for some shopping to add to our already huge luggage! You know me I don't travel light.... I always pack that outfit 'just in case'!!

First we headed off to Oman.... It was such a long time to be travelling and Caleb was so good! I was so worried that he would spend the whole time on the flight screaming his head off but he just snuggled up to his Dad and slept, cuddled and played quietly the whole time! We really have been blessed with an angel. (That means the next one is going to be a little s**t!) We arrived to warm weather 28 degrees and sunshine, although to people that live their they think it is cold! They should try Canada! We had fun with my Dad touring around, RELAXING, enjoying the sun and Caleb and fun non stop chasing around my little sister Deborah.

Next to England..... Slightly colder... 2 degrees still not as cold as home... we were gradually getting used to the weather back home. England was a little more crazy and not nearly as relaxing, so mucxh family and so many friends to see... plus some sight seeing time in London! Sean could not go to England and not see all the big sights. Unfortunatly the London eye was closed but we'll catch it on our next trip!

After almost a month away I was actually looking forward to coming home... until I walked out of Toronto airport into the freezing cold! Now it's back to reality!! Back to work on Monday - only part time which is great! I started painting my bedroom today... it's red!! And the pregnancy is progressing well, I've only put on 3 pounds so far!! Yay!! We go for an ultrasound is a few weeks so we'll hopefully find out whether we are expecting Zoe Louise or Mason (still undecided on a second name yet)!!!

I'll keep you posted!! :)

Things are moving along...

Ok we are pretty much set.. all I have to do is find a DJ and mail out invites. There aren't too many as it is not a huge affair, but the hall is booked, church, liquor license (not that I'll be drinking), favours ordered, flowers organized, table cloths etc.. rented.. Only 25 days now!!

AND.... I passed my first real estate exam!! 88%. Such a huge relief! I get to start the second one when I get back from my vacation! Yay!

Monday, November 20, 2006

Wedding date set...

So we've decided to get married on December 23rd.. so that gives us, well not very long to plan our wedding... But the timing is right for us and Sean said he would hate to plan something so far in advance and sit around and wait for it.. So craziness it is...

I had my dress fitted Saturday and go back for a fitting on Thursday...

Today we're booking the hall, church etc...

Hopefully everything else should come together this week.

Oh by the way I sat my real estate exam #1 on Saturday.. hopefully I passed so when we come back from our vacation I can start the next one. While I was doind that baby and Dad went shopping and came back with a whole new winter our fit, ski coat, gloves, snow boots, hat plus other things. Caleb looks like he should hit the slopes with his snow board! Super cute!!

Big News!!

Guess what??...

I am pregnant!!
A new baby will be on the way in July!! Actually on my birthday! What a fun way of spending it.. in labour!!

We are so excited, it will be a great age gap for Caleb and the baby as they will be close in age, which I think it good as they will be closer developmentally.. And unlike last time I won't be huge in the boiling hot summer! So I am now officially the DD for Christmas, New Years etc...!!

Royal Orchid at Sunset in the Benjamins

ahhh it's snowing outsie and this picture makes me warm! I've been meaning to put this up a long time ago, I have more pictures from our trip a couple of weeks ago I'll get them up as soon as I can!!

Halloween outing

Halloween was fun, you can tell I am a new and not so experienced Mum.... I was going to have a cute clown, well, I painted Caleb's face which turned out really cute until he wiped his hands all over his face making it one big smudge :(

I was also going to dye his hair with Kool-Aid. Someone told me that worked, well not really unless I am doing it wrong.. so I resorted to food colouring. Hah! Well my child had a smudged face and looked like he was bleeding from one side of his head.. not cool. So much for my cute clown! Exasperated I put him back in the tub (for the 3rd time) and washed everything off, we ran to the pharmacy (the only thing still open) and bought a pumkin outfit! Not face paint, not food colouring much more baby friendly! We went out trick-or-treating he had fun with his cousins, then we went to visit Uncle Todd and Perry, Grandma and Grandad, Shirley and Chris to show off our costume before heading home to bed! He still has a little bit of a pink scalp!!

I have my real estate exam on Saturday, starting to panic especially as I thought today was Tuesday.. somehow I lost a day!

Birthday Weekend

It was Sean's birthday this weekend.. I won't tell you how old! Young at heart that's all that matters!! We had a big family party last night. Here is a picture if the R2D2 cake I made for Sean (he is Star Wars crazy!).

Tonight is Halloween night. I had an awesome idea for a costume for Caleb but I am going to do it next year as Sean doesn't think he'll be too happy in it this year, so I have to save it. Instead he is going as a clown, with blue Kool-Aid hair! Well I am hoping it turns out blue! Haha!!

Booked our vacation today! Natalie booked her flight over here for Christmas today! So it is all set Xmas with my sis then two weeks on the beach in the sun and a week touring London!! So excited!!

Tuesday, October 24, 2006

oops..

Didn't mean to do that....

Anyways I am fat and need a diet where I am not hungry all the time!!! It is just not working out for me... I have never had to diet and you have a child an it all changes.. The soup thing... yeah not working... weight watchers... not working what's next Slim fast??

calling for a diet that works...

A monumental moment..

OK something huge happened in my life this weekend...

I found my first GREY HAIR!!!!!

I am officially old, now they are going to just keep coming and coming... Do I dye my hair or get gracefully old and grey without a box of hair dye?? Hmm still pondering that one...

It's Snowing....

It's October 12th and it has been snowing all day..

There is nothing sticking on the ground, but it has been like a snow storm all day, you can barely see anything.. There are 54km/hr winds and it's meant to warm up tonight to 6 degreees it's about 1 now. I CAN"T BELIEVE WINTER IS HERE!!

I had to drive Yahaira back this morning at 5.30am. We had a great visit but not long enough.. Come for longer next time damn it!!

Caleb got 2 more teeth, poor thing, they just keep coming! Soon he'll be eating steak!

Picture from our sailing trip

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Hey everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving! I wished mine would be relaxing as I am totally burnt out, but it won't be... We have a big family thing to go to, I also have to cook Thanksgiving dinner and inbetween we have dinner guests every night.. AND the good news is Yahaira is coming to visit from BC again for a week to spend some time with her godson! I am so excited to see her!

Baby got another new toy today, the birthday presenst are still coming in! My Mum got him a riding Thomas the Tank Engine. It is so cute and makes train noises and plays the theme song! Can't wait for him to see it when he gets home later!

Thursday, October 05, 2006

I didn't think the last post went up... it was so slow publishing it that I gave up and closed the window!

Baby's birthday was good, we had Uncle Todd and Uncle Perry (godparents) over for cup cakes on Thursday. We saved presents and the Pooh Bear cake until the big party on Sunday. Wow that cake was a labor of love it took me two days to make! But it turned out awesome and baby had fun smearing the icing around and all over his face!

Baby's One Today!!

HAPPY BIRTDAY BABY BOY!!

I can't believe a whole year has gone by!!

Monday, September 18, 2006

Rainy day on Manitoulin..... oh and 10 days until baby's birthday!! YAY!

So miserable....

What a great way to finish off the weekend.. we've all been sick, Sean and baby still sick... and now it's dark and rainy...

We had a big splurge on Friday, we bought a washer and dryer and two televisions... One for the living room and one for the bedroom, now we have flat screens everywhere. Although it was rather nice this morning to sit in bed with my coffee and toast and watch the news!! I am so excited to get my new washer and dryer they are pretty fancy, the have computers in them and all sorts of sensors, and the best part was that it came with a free ipod nano so now sean has one to match mine!!

Friday was also an expensive day as we got baby's leg brace.. $600!! He has to wear it until he is two so he had netter not grow out of this one. He looks like he has a bionic leg :)

Only 10 days until baby's birthday... I ordered this Winnie The Pooh cake pan, and all the icing colours, piping bags, matching cup cake holders so far we're up to, well I can't say as Sean will kill me! But alot... and to make matters worse I have no idea how this will turn out, as I can't bake, pipe icing etc... so we'll be having a few trial runs!!!

Anyways just another rainy day on the Island.. another boring day at the office.. more invoices to do.... :(

Tuesday, August 15, 2006

Yes we are still alive....

Sorry....

It's been a while....

Well it's summer, and in the summer time it's busy here!! Sailing, road trips, visitors, horse shows etc... So what's new?? Well a few things but generally a whole lotta nothin'!!

My Mum and Grandma mada the trip from England. They were so excited to see their grandson/great-grandson. Caleb of course loved the attention! My sis will be back in December for Christmas on the Island, before we head out to England, Dubai and Oman for a vacation in the sun for New Years and a few weeks in January. Yahaira will be coming back to see her godson from B.C hopefully soon x fingers crossed x. I can't believe he is almost a year old.. time flies!!

Went & visited the Laings at a horse show in Owen Sound. Was great to see them, they got to see Caleb again, the last time he was only a few weeks old!

Been golfing lots, I suck but I guess I can only get better!! Oh I also went fishing for the first time ever. It was good I caught 3 fish but Mike wouldn't let me keep them as they were too small :( So much for dinner!!

Hopefully away sailing next weekend for 3 days out to Darch Island and The Benjamins. Pretty excited about that as we haven't done a "big" trip yet! Would love to sail down to Windsor one time, that would be kind of cool.

Anyways I will post some pictures soon, got lots of new ones!!

Friday, May 12, 2006

OK I've been slacking..

So I haven't posted anything in a long time... but I have a good reason for it!! My computer died and now I have to get a new one, so it means I have to run over to the office to get on the web. Ok it's not far to go but with a screaming baby that needs constant entertainment it's quite the chore!!

Not much new to report...

I am hoping to get Anna (my horse) up here soon. The weather is so great, the sun is out and I need to be riding!! I guess there is a Manitoulin Horse Club that I am hoping to get involved with. They do trail rides, small shows and pot luck dinners etc.. It'll be a good place to meet a few people. I could maybe even get into doing some teaching again, although most people here ride western... I'll look a little out of place with my little english saddle on a trail ride. We are hoping to go and see a few friends horse show at the end of May so it'll be fun to get together with everyone again.

Caleb is doing good a little cranky as he has a cold.. I went to get his passport photos taken.. wow is that ever a chore. They can't smile, his mouth can't be open, he has to look directly at the camera... So needless to say, we didn't get any done and we are heading back to Sudbury to try again on Saturday!! Sean takes so many pictures of him that when you put him infront of a camera, he just breaks out into a huge smile!!

Summer is shaping up nicely with lots of plans. Can't wait until the boat is in the water and we can go on some sailing trips. We are also planning on England in September, my sister is coming here for Christmas, then England and possibly Dubai/Oman for New Years!! It's so exciting to be making plans to see people and family that I haven't caught up with in such a long time!

Anyways need to head out in the rain to get to the bank before it closes!!
